#CPMyPlayground Competition

ChildsPlay, IntriCut

We are delighted to launch our fantastic ChildsPlay competition for schools in the UK!

We are inviting pupils to use their imagination to draw a picture for our designers to interpret into a real life play mat. The subject could be anything, from your school building to an outer space adventure! For inspiration see our latest playground installation which was inspired by one child’s painting.

If you are looking to develop or upgrade your playground this is an excellent opportunity to produce a bespoke play space; or alternatively a unique branded entry area or portable play carpet suitable for indoor and outdoor activities.

The winning school will receive a 2m x 2m artificial turf mat, cut out in to the design of the chosen child’s drawing ready to be installed in the format or location that you choose.

To enter download the entry form and either post your submissions to: Notts Sport Ltd, Innovation House, Magna Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 4XH or email to kirstyb@nottssport.com. The closing date for submissions is March 31st.

We’d also love to see your designs on social media, so tweet a photo of your entries using @NS_ChildsPlay and #CPMyPlayground, and we will share the best designs!

All Abilities Park: Thunder Junction

ChildsPlay

DCIM100MEDIADJI_0076.JPG

The new Thunder Junction All Abilities Park in St. George is a dream come true for children of all abilities. It’s an inclusive park where children can play in spite of their physical limitations.

Children with disabilities often cannot play in a standard play area – and can‘t benefit from the incredible social, physical, and emotional benefits that play provides. Notts Sport were proud to help the City of St. George build this fantastic new park and playground. The remarkable play space offers accessible and sensory-rich equipment that enchants and delights children both with and without disabilities.

The dinosaur themed park features playground equipment that is wheelchair accessible so that all children can enjoy the swings and the slides. Wheelchairs can also board the train which circles the park. Play areas surround a huge volcano as faux-dinosaur skull spills water onto a splash pad.

This universally accessible playground will give all the children in the community the chance to play, to grow, and to learn side-by-side.

Drone Diary

Drone Diary

phantom 3 drone

The Notts Sport team have been getting to grips with the latest development in photographic technology: The DJI Phantom 3 Drone. We asked our Twitter followers to choose its name, and ‘The Drone Ranger’ won in a landslide victory!

This month The Drone Ranger has been all over the country, photographing  completed facilities at Etone College; Holyrood Academy; Gillingham Anchorians HC; Holcombe HC; Hackney’s Mabley Green Park; and Oundle School. This fantastic bit of kit enables us to take bird’s-eye-view images and videos at a height of 500m, allowing us to capture the entirety of our pitches and playgrounds from the sky for the first time.

Keep a lookout on social media using the tag #DroneDiary to see where in the UK The Drone Ranger will pop up next.

Notts Sport Supports Local Play Area

Uncategorized

Being in business for 30 years has brought out Notts Sports’ charitable side. In 2014 the company provided the free installation of a synthetic surface in a play area in Walton, Leicestershire. Prior to Notts Sports’ intervention, Walton Play Area was quite a bit worse for wear – not the sort of area parents would encourage their children to play in. The wet pour surface was not fit for purpose, which encouraged Notts Sport to intervene and improve the play area to a safer, more aesthetically pleasing environment. We can all agree that the pictures shown below tell their own story, and that Notts Sports’ donation has improved the site greatly. Notts Sport is proud to be associated with Walton Play Area, and is glad to be of assistance to the local residents. The company continues to provide an exciting range of synthetic ChildsPlay surfaces, as well as a vast range of multi-sport facilities.

30th Anniversary Inspires Charitable Year For Notts Sport

Uncategorized

Notts Sport are one of the country’s market leaders in the provision of synthetic sport & play surfacing and to mark the company’s successful heritage, some of the Notts Sport employees embarked on various challenges all in aid of the Lord’s Taverners Charity, an organisation set up to, in their words, “give young people a sporting chance”. Notts Sport was keen to make their 30th year in business one to remember, and no doubt that was the case for Mark Wood and Josh Harnden who endured a Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 13.15.09gruelling 200 mile bike ride from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower over 3 long days over the summer. But it was not just Mark and Josh who were prepared to push themselves to the limit for charity. Company Director Duncan Bennett took part in the London Marathon in April whilst a team consisting of Rebecca Wood, Kirsty Bishop, Laura Bennett and Steve Foxon braved the mud, wet and cold as they took on the 5K Wild Warrior X-Runner – an outdoor obstacle course which is not for the faint hearted! Simon Glover and Kevin King walked up hill and down dale as they travelled 96 miles along the West Highland Way from Milngavie all the way to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands and Janet Slatter and Notts SpoScreen Shot 2015-01-06 at 13.15.24rt chairman Shaun Patrick also raised money for losing weight throughout 2014 all for the Lord’s Taverners Charity. Notts Sport fully embraced the charity spirit in 2014 by the free installation of a child’s play area in Walton, Leicestershire. Notts Sport replaced the damaged and aging wet pour rubber area with their very own synthetic surface, greatly improving the image and more importantly the safety of the play area. Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 13.15.40 Notts Sport is no stranger to charity work either. In 2012 the company played a key part in raising £15,000 for the Harley Staples Cancer Trust as they transformed Loughborough College’s synthetic pitch into a cricket venue to play host to a non-stop 150 hour long cricket match. The ground staff were all in agreement that the Notts Sport Powerplay Instant Cricket System was crucial to the success of the event as it withstood some extreme weather conditions. By the end of their 30th year, “Team Notts Sport” had managed to raise a fantastic £7,003.75 for the Lord’s Taverners Charity, with everyone doing their bit for a very good cause. Notts Sport continues to be a leading player in the synthetic turf market with prosperous relationships as Approved System Suppliers to the England & Wales Cricket board and as Official Partners to England Hockey.Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 13.15.52
