Project Manager – Sports

Due to continued growth England & GB Hockey Official Facilities Partner, Notts Sport is looking to recruit a Project Manager to join its successful synthetic turf pitch department.

As a Multi Sport Department Project Manager you will be working closely with a wide variety of customers at any given time including local authorities, education departments, schools, architects, facility managers, sports pitch contractors and main contractors.

The Project Manager role will involve managing & delivering large scale, high profile sports pitch projects won by our Business Development Managers and wider sales teams, taking commissioned projects to completion via the unique Notts Sport turnkey Design & Advisory Service.  This service led approach encompasses all aspects of the design, development, specification and delivery of synthetic turf pitch projects for customers throughout the UK with you on hand offering expert advice and support at every stage of project delivery, supporting sales activities where appropriate.

You will be office based and out on the road with responsibilities to link the contractor, customer and Notts Sport at all times.  With strong interpersonal & communication skills, you will provide services and solutions ranging from specification, tendering, contract administration, CDM Co-Ordination & liaising with the project delivery team to ensure all Key Stage Inspections are completed at the appropriate time, taking responsibility for all stages right through to handover.

You must be a friendly and professional person, trusted by clients and your colleagues, and driven to succeed. Technical knowledge of sports pitches will be required along with high levels of communication skills as is the ability to deal with people at all levels and build strong, long term customer relationships across a wide variety of customer and supplier sectors. You should be able to manage your time effectively and keep up with the demands of the job which may involve overnight stays in any given working week.

Technical experience and a proven track record of project management within the synthetic sports pitch sector is essential.

I.T skills will be an advantage; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM) are key tools to deliver your key performance results.

Due to continued growth & department restructuring England & GB Hockey Official Facilities Partner Notts Sport is looking to recruit a UK Business Development Manager to join its successful synthetic turf pitch department.

 As a Multi Sport Business Development Manager you will be working closely with a wide variety of customers at any given time including local authorities, education departments, schools, architects, facility managers, sports pitch contractors and main contractors to obtain commitment from the customer in order for Notts Sport to specify and supply specialist synthetic pitch systems and products for sports pitch projects.

 This role will involve securing commitment from customers for £500,000+ value large scale, high profile sports pitch projects.  You will offer a service led approach to guide customers from initial enquiry through to commitment & ultimately completion via the unique Notts Sport turnkey Design & Advisory Service. 

 This service led approach to our customers encompasses all aspects of the design, development, specification and delivery of synthetic turf pitch projects for customers throughout the UK with you on hand offering expert advice and support at every stage up to specification & tendering.

 You will be office based and out on the road with responsibilities ranging from telephoning prospective clients (to service new and existing customers), arranging appointments & meetings, taking enquiries and conducting the initial sales/technical discussions through all stages right through to commissioning before offering further support to the Project Delivery team by following up at critical points during the life of the project.

 Sales leads and contacts will be generated by both yourself and the company marketing initiatives within the United Kingdom and working closely with our commercial & supply chain partners.

Technical knowledge of sports pitches will be required along with high levels of communication skills to ensure you are able to work closely with the Project Delivery Team. You will have the ability to deal with people at all levels and build strong, long term customer relationships across a wide variety of customer and supplier sectors with a key focus on Independent Schools. You should be able to manage your time effectively and keep up with the demands of the job which may involve overnight stays in any given working week.

 Technical sales experience and a proven track record of service led, long term relationship building over a minimum of 2 years will be essential.
